Dr. Margie Skeer, ScD, MPH, MSW

Dr. Skeer is an Assistant Professor at the Tufts University School of Medicine in the Department of Public Health and Community Medicine, and she is a core faculty member in the program in Health Communication. Her research focuses on adolescent substance misuse prevention, both from epidemiologic- and intervention-development perspectives.
Her research has a particular focus on families and she has a current interest in the prevention of prescription drug misuse. Dr. Skeer also teaches a graduate course on substance use and addiction for public health students.
